Veronika Jeltsch, Visiting Assistant Professor of German Studies, earned her Ph.D. in German from Rutgers University. Her research interests include silence,
speechlessness and body language, children’s and youth literature, as well as film studies and literary adaptations. Prof. Jeltsch previously taught at Hendrix College and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. At William & Mary, she will teach the first year German sequence, and courses on German children’s and youth literature (Fall) and on intercultural German literature (Spring).
