Dr. Marion Castleberryis a Professor of Theatre Arts at Baylor University. He teaches graduate courses in directing and performance theory. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Theatre from Louisiana State University. A member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, Dr. Castleberry has directed more than two hundred productions across the nation. He is a leading authority on the life and works of Horton Foote, the Founding President of the Horton Foote Society, and Co-Founder of the Horton Foote American Playwrights Festival. His most recent directing credits include the Ensemble Studio Theatre’s production of Horton Foote’s The Traveling Lady, which was nominated for a 2006 Drama Desk Award for "Best Revival of a Play," the Resonance Ensemble Theatre’s world premiere production of Arthur Giron’s The Coffee Trees, performed at the Beckett Theatre in New York in 2007, and a Baylor Theatre production of Lorca’s Blood Wedding, which he also adapted to the stage.
