Prashant Deshlahra received his Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2006. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2012, performing his dissertation research under the guidance of Eduardo E. Wolf and William F. Schneider on spectroscopic and computational studies of effects of electric field on adsorption of gaseous molecules at metal catalyst surfaces. He is currently completing his post-doctoral research with Enrique Iglesia at the University of California Berkeley on mechanistic studies and composition-function relations for dehydration and oxidative dehydrogenation of light alcohols on polyoxometalate clusters. Prashant will begin his appointment at Tufts in the spring of 2016. His research will focus on understanding and application of heterogeneous catalysis.
