David Alsdorf is a volunteer teacher from Cambridge Public Schools, where he has worked with K-2 students for four years, with a focus on math intervention. This year he is writing a thesis on the Montessori trinomial cube to complete his M.Ed in early childhood education at Lesley University. At the CEEO he will be working as a research assistant to Brian Gravel, focusing on the ISB maker studio project, and conducting field research in maker studios around Boston. His interest is in the intersection of equipment, philosophy, and pedagogical theory. He is also participating as an artist (www.davidalsdorf.com) in The LEGO Foundation's Pedagogy of Play research at Harvard's Project Zero. David is an enthusiastic tennis player and loves cats.
