Bruce M. Everett, Adjunct Associate Professor of International Business, specializes in analysis of global oil markets and international energy and environmental policy. He holds an A.B. from Princeton University and an MA, MALD and PhD from The Fletcher School. After starting his career in the International Affairs Office of the U.S. Department of Energy and its predecessor agencies between 1974 and 1980, he worked as an Executive for the ExxonMobil Corporation. His energy industry experience includes strategic planning, industry analysis, and forecasting; marketing; government relations; coal mining; energy supply management; electric power operations in Hong Kong; business development in China; natural gas project development in the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America; as well as commercialization of advanced gas to liquids technology. He retired from ExxonMobil in 2002 and now teaches a course on the international petroleum industry at The Fletcher School. He has written a number of op-eds and articles; lectures on international oil and energy issues; and writes a weekly blog on energy at http://bmeverett.wordpress.com/. He and his wife Kathy split their time between Cape Cod and Los Angeles visiting often with their daughter in New York and their son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren in Los Angeles.
