Kim has over fifteen years of experience in nursing. During her career she has worked in Medical Surgical, Community, Pediatric and Orthopedic nursing. Kim has also served as Performance Improvement Coordinator and Health Manager of a Head Start Program. In 2007 Kim received a "Champion for Children" award for her success in improving children's dental health in Washington County, RI. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Kim earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing and was also employed by her alma mater in campus health. In 2009, Kim, her husband and two boys relocated to North Carolina where she began working in Operative Services at WakeMed. She joined UNC Campus Health Services in 2011. Kim and her family are avid UNC Fans, but also enjoy rooting on the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and the Boston Celtics.
