A professor in the Division of Nephrology, Dr. Ahmad retired from the university on April 30th, 2015. Dr. Ahmad began his career at University of Washington as a fellow in 1978, and has since been a pioneer in dialysis, hypertension and innovative technologies related to the care of patients with kidney disease. In addition to excellence in clinical care, Dr. Ahmad is the author of a leading text book on dialysis, and is regarded locally and nationally as an excellent educator.
