He is an attending surgeon at the UW Medical Center, Harborview Medical Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and Swedish Hospital and Medical Center. He holds dental licenses in Washington and Idaho, and is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Bloomquist earned his DDS from the UW in 1969, and an MS in oral surgery from Georgetown University in 1973. Before attaining emeritus status, he was Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor in the UW Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department. He has been a consultant to Group Health Hospital, the Seattle Veterans Administration Hospital, Public Health Service Hospital, and Pacific Medical Center.
