Boris Babic has a BA in philosophy from York University and a JD from Harvard Law School. Before coming to Michigan, he practiced intellectual property law in Los Angeles, where he represented companies fighting over fashion dolls, cell phones, and comic books. He also worked on several securities fraud cases arising out of the 2008 financial crisis. Boris is interested in epistemology, decision theory, ethics, and law (especially theoretical problems in IP and evidence). He also has interests in the history of analytic philosophy (Frege, Russell, and Wittgenstein). Outside philosophy he likes running, backpacking, riding motorcycles, and watching The Simpsons.
