简介

The theory of signal processing and its applications to a wide range of engineering and scientific problems. Recently, his work in biomedical engineering has been related to the development of computational methods for prediction of cellular and intercellular processes modeled by biochemical reaction networks. Another field of interest is signal processing of data obtained by magnetic resonance spectroscopy with applications to quantification of neural stem cells. Djuric is a Senior Member of IEEE and is a Member of the American Statistical Association and the International Society for Bayesian Analysis. He has been invited to lecture at many universities in the United States and overseas. He has also been Associate Editor of several journals and Guest Editor of special issues. Petar M. Djurić received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade, in 1981 and 1986, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island (1990).

职业经历

From 1981 to 1986, Prof. Djurić was a Research Associate with the Institute of Nuclear Sciences, Vinca, Belgrade. Since 1990, he has been with Stony Brook University, where he is Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research has been in the area of signal and information processing with primary interests in the theory of signal modeling, detection, and estimation; Monte Carlo-based methods; distributed signal processing; and applications of the theory in a wide range of disciplines.
