Welcome to our undergraduate majors in literary and cultural studies, languages, and linguistics, and our Ph.D. program in Comparative Literature. In an increasingly global world the study of literatures and languages has never been more urgent than it is today. Our students' writing and research respond to this urgency, producing pluralistic, multilingual, theoretical, and historical forms of knowledge and critique. The literary, cultural, and linguistic fluency and insight one gains through the programs offered by the faculty in Comparative Literature remain for a lifetime. I invite you to join us.
