The Department of Biology conducts research, teaching, and service in many areas of the life sciences, including animal behavior, behavioral endocrinology, cell biology, conservation biology, developmental biology, ecology, evolution, molecular biology, physiology, and population biology. Our graduate program is named Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology (EEOB). Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees are offered in three areas of specialization: Evolutionary Biology, Ecology, and Physiology. In addition, our faculty and graduate students are affiliated with several interdepartmental graduate programs, including Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology, Genetics, Genomics, and Bioinformatics, Biomedical Sciences, and Neuroscience.
