Available courses include: Genetics Anatomy and Physiology Bioscience Laboratory Modern Concepts of Bioscience Microbiology The four different tracks available are geared toward different career goals for the student. The General Biology track is designed for students wishing to pursue graduate school or teaching. The degree program can be tailored to the students' interest. The general program is also appropriate for students desiring to enter the workforce as technicians in biotechnology or other research settings. The Pre-Health Care track is designed to prepare students for health-related professions, such as medical or dental school, or graduate school in medical and molecular biology. The Ecology track is a comprehensive study of the biology of organisms that exist within the natural environment. Students can meet the teacher certification requirements through this degree program. Baylor offers Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED), a student-led organization for students interested in Pre-Health Care programs. AED offers opportunities for intellectual and professional development, provides a forum for students with common interests, and extends a program of service to benefit the Waco and Baylor communities. Baylor University offers several Living-Learning Centers, which are housing opportunities designed to place students of common interests together in living and learning environments. Baylor offers a Science & Health Living-Learning Center where students with common interest in pursuing a career in medicine and the sciences will be able to collaborate with each other as well as science faculty and medical researchers.
