The Applied Mathematics major focuses on applying math to real-life scenarios and industries. Students learn how to use mathematical concepts for problem-solving and decision making in a variety of environments. Available courses include: Patterns, Relationships and Number Concepts Linear Algebra Complex Variables Data and Chance Graduates of the Mathematics Department have the foundation for a broad range of positions in business, industry, government and education. Almost every branch of the Federal Government employs Mathematics majors in some capacity, and many Mathematics graduates continue their studies through graduate, law or medical school.
