Our focus on whole organisms and ecosystems in basic and applied sciences creates a rich resource for our faculty, students and stakeholders. We anticipate new opportunities for collaboration in areas of conservation, ecology, systematic and integrated agriculture and aquaculture. Our Marine and Freshwater Biology program will flourish. From our strong agricultural history in the animal and plant disciplines and our extensive network of farms and facilities, to our long-standing partnership with Cooperative Extension and our affiliation with the Agricultural Experiment Station, we are excited about the possibilities that will emerge from our newly created department. We are eager to expand our relationship with the Thompson School of Applied Sciences and extend our research relationships in collaboration with partner institutions and agencies.
