I am an evolutionary ecologist with research interests in plant-insect interactions. One primary focus of my research is the process of speciation. In particular, I have focused on the role of ecological interactions in speciation with gene flow. I am also interested in the ecology and evolution of carnivorous plants. My research in this area has recently been focused on the attraction of prey, pollinator-prey conflict, and cost-benefit analyses of prey capture by carnivorous plants.
