He has directed theses on Jean de Sponde, Pernette Du Guillet, Du Bellay, Labé, the 15th- and 16th-century nouvelle and the representation of chaos in French and Italian Renaissance literature. His current research focuses on the relationship between fine arts and literature, travel writing during the Renaissance, and the thematics and semiology of costume in French Renaissance literary texts.
