Alan Bryan has sung with the Eastman Opera Theater in New York, Denver Lyric Opera, North Star Opera, Musica Nova, Minnesota Opera and with numerous other companies and orchestras throughout the United States. He has more than 40 leading opera roles to his credit, regularly premieres new works and has performed recitals across the country. Recently, the baritone directed and created the title role in the premiere of The Dragon by Albert Biales, celebrating the 25th anniversary of O’Shaughnessy Auditorium. Also, he recently premiered Symphony No. 2 for Baritone, Winds and Percussion by Andrew Boysen Jr. along with Passageways by Albert Biales. He sang Two Lullabies by Andrew Boysen Jr. at the Minnesota State M.M.E.A. Convention and also at the College Band Director’s National Association’s national convention at Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. In spring 2001, he premiered Meister Ekhart Songs by Nora Stanton Gibson, later performing them on “Live from Landmark”. He revisited an 80’s premiere of Songs of Time and the Infinite by Albert Biales that March at a Landmark Center recital for the American Composers Forum’s New Music Series.
