Robert A. Winholtz has worked with x-ray and neutron radiations for over twenty-five years. He has extensive experience in characterizing materials at reactor neutron sources. More recently, he has become involved in using neutrons for imaging. Winholtz has experience teaching Diffraction Methods and has served on the MURR Safety Subcommittee for nearly twenty years which has exposed him to a variety of issues surrounding nuclear reactors and safety. Winholtz was also a Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist at the MURR Reactor and has served as a user program proposal reviewer for the APS, LANSE, and Oakridge Neutron Science program. He is a member of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society, ASM International and the Neutron Scattering Society of America.
