Connie Vise is the director of the Fort Jackson program. She has over twenty-seven years of experience with USC. She began her career with the University of South Carolina as the administrative assistant to the Dean of Student Affairs at the USC Sumter campus. She later moved to the USC Sumter Shaw AFB office as the assistant to the director and then director. Connie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from USC Columbia in 1980 and her Master of Education degree from the Columbia campus in 1997.
In her role as the director of the Fort Jackson program, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a mini-campus housed in the Fort Jackson Education Center. She acts as a liaison between the United States Army, the Department of Defense, and the University. She ensures that the University is in compliance with the Army and Department of Defense (DOD) requirements of offering off-duty educational opportunities to active duty service members, their family members, National Guardsmen, reservists, DOD civilian employees and veterans. In addition to serving on the Palmetto College Executive Council, she services on the Veterans Student Services Advisory Council.
