: Dr. Bruns' research group, the Peripheral Neural Engineering and Urodynamics Lab (pNEUro Lab), focuses on interfacing with the peripheral nervous system. Projects in the lab include developing closed-loop neuroprostheses, examining systems-level neurophysiology in normal and dysfunctional states and designing and testing novel electrodes. Current primary interests include neural interfaces with dorsal root ganglia and restoring bladder function.
