Dr. Sherman is Team Leader and teaches in the medical Metabolism, Signal Transduction and Nutrition course, as well as the Human Nutrition and Health course. Dr Sherman also lectures in the Human Endocrinology course. He received his Ph.D. from University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center, and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology & Physiology. He has been nominated for the Golden Apple teaching award by medical and SMP students, receiving several from the SMP class. His research interests include: neuroendocrine regulation of hypothalamic vasopressin and oxytoxin gene expression; molecular mechanisms of steroid hormone receptor expression and of steroid hormone feedback on neuropeptide genes. Office location: Med-Dent Building, Room NE407.
