Elizabeth Barron, is a lecturer in French in the Department of Romance Languages. She has interests in the Eighteenth Century, narrative styles and their similarity to political processes, and human rights. She has presented papers at various conferences and is currently interested in the idea of liberté, égalité et fraternité as a dialectic between the will of the individual and social and legal structures. She has accompanied students abroad to France both with Wake Forest and with UNC-Chapel Hill.
