专业描述

The Department of Asian Studies offers five major concentrations, seven minors, and instruction in eight Asian and Middle Eastern languages. Students pursuing the B.A. degree in Asian Studies can complete the interdisciplinary major in Asian Studies, or concentrate in Arab Cultures, Chinese, Japanese, or South Asian Studies. In addition to the interdisciplinary minor in Asian Studies, there are language-focused minors in Arabic, Chinese, modern Hebrew, Hindi-Urdu, Japanese, and Korean. Persian and Turkish are also offered, and can be taken to complete the general language requirement, or as the required Asian language to accompany the interdisciplinary major in Asian Studies.
