Past work experience includes Project Manager at Total Home construction, a design-build company and Project designer at Cannon Design, a large scale architecture and engineering firm. Mr. Hume currently owns and operates Hume Projects LLC a design-build company and has completed a large number of projects that vary greatly in size and scope from large scale commercial projects to smaller scale residential projects. Mr. Hume has also designed and constructed a variety of furniture and utility surfaces that vary greatly in detail and material composition. Research foci include blurring the boundaries between design and construction processes and latent materials behaviors that can be scaled exponentially and play a more critical role in building systems and our perceptions of space. Mr. Hume’s work has been published in a variety of platforms including Wood Design and Building and AD (Architecture Design) magazine.
