Since fall 2005, Mary Anne Stewart Boelcskevy has been a member of the faculty in African American Studies where she is currently Senior Lecturer and Director of Undergradaute Studies. She has been a Visiting Assistant Professor or Lecturer at Williams, Emerson, Brown, Harvard, and Albert-Ludwigs Universitat in Freiburg, Germany and a W.E.B. Du Bois Institute Fellow at Harvard University in 2000-2001 and 2004-2005. Her research and teaching interests are in African American literature, women’s studies, and cultural perspectives. She has given presentations in New York, Colorado, Louisiana, and Massachusetts and has contributed work to a range of projects including both editions of The Norton Anthology of African American Literature, Encyclopedia of Feminist Literary Theory: A Dictionary, the 2006 PBS Series African American Lives, African American National Biographies. She was the editor of Voices in the Poetic Tradition (African American Women Writers, 1910-1940).
