I am an Assistant Professor of Theoretical Astrophysics in the Physics Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara. My research explores the formation and evolution of planetary systems, including the solar system. From 2010-2014, I was a federal Astrophysicist at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, a Affiliate (2013-2014) and Lecturer in the Harvard Department of Astronomy, and a senior member of the Institute for Theory and Computation, all of which are part of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. I was an Institute for Theory and Computation Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard from 2008-2010. I received my Ph.D. in Astrophysics in 2008 from UC Berkeley, where I worked with Eugene Chiang. I hold an A.B. in Physics and Astronomy and Astrophysics from Harvard University.
