I'm an associate professor of Writing at a gorgeous campus, UCSB, where I specialize in Writing in the Disciplines. At the undergraduate level, I mainly teach courses in scientific, technical, and health professional writing. At the graduate level, I teach courses on how new technologies intersect with new literacies, how to teach writing, and how to prepare manuscripts for publication. Lately, I have been consulting with international universities about how to develop writing courses and programs. (Many of the site's other photos are from Norway, for example.) If you would like to become involved in Writing Studies, please see the research internship possibilities under "Current Research" and the various activities listed under the "Centers of Interest." If you are interested in a graduate program, please see: The Gevirtz Graduate School of Education's program in Language, Literacy, and Composition.
