Accommodation First-year students are guaranteed a room in the Green, Bradford's sustainable student village on campus. Weekly rent is £102.34 for a standard room in a townhouse, or £110.74 for an en-suite room in a flat. Facilities The University has invested £120m in its campuses and has recently built buildings with some of the highest sustainability ratings for their type in the world. At the heart of the city campus is the three-storey student central building, home to a variety of bars and cafés, a 1,300-capacity nightclub, the student union, the library and a visually-striking atrium. The campus has its own theatre and art galleries and there's also a state-of-the-art gym and pool at Unique: Fitness & Lifestyle sports centre. The student accommodation, the Green, is situated at the centre of the city campus and was the first student accommodation in the country to achieve an official BREEAM outstanding rating as a blue-print for eco-friendly living. Transport Walking to the town centre takes about 15 minutes. Leeds is approximately 20 minutes away by train, and Bradford is within reach of Leeds Bradford international airport and the M62 motorway. Bradford has a freecity bus that runs every few minutes from early morning until early evening, Mondays to Saturdays, connecting the university to the train stations and shopping hub. The UBUS is a free safety bus service run by the student union during term-time to transport students and staff anywhere within a two-mile radius of campus. A bus service runs between the City campus and School of Management campus.
