Diana Franklin is tenured teaching faculty and Director of the Center for Computing Education and Diversity at UCSB. She is a recipient of the NSF CAREER award and an inaugural recipient of the NCWIT Faculty Mentor award. She was voted Best Professor by Cal Poly computer engineering undergraduates in 2003, and UCSB graduating seniors in 2009 and 2010. She was an assistant professor (2002-2007) and associate professor (2007) of Computer Science at the California Polytechnic State University, during which she held the Forbes Chair (2002-2007). She has a new book out: "A Practical Guide to Gender Diversity for CS Faculty."
