Mary Cicconetti is a freelance musician in the Boston area and currently serves on the faculties at Boston University, Powers Music School, Brookline Music School, and the Newton Public Schools. Her prior teaching appointment was at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana where she taught oboe, music theory, and aural skills. Cicconetti has performed with orchestras throughout New England including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra, Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra, and New Bedford Symphony Orchestra. Cicconetti has participated in numerous music festivals including Opera North, Buzzards Bay MusicFest, Sarasota, Aspen, and Texas Music Festivals. Cicconetti lives in Boston (Roslindale) with her husband, Andrew Goodrich, a music education professor at Boston University, and their three West Highland White Terriers Wendell, Emily and Lily. She is an avid tennis player and competes in several leagues including the Dorothy Bruno Hills Indoor League, World Team Tennis as well as several USTA leagues.
